We're a family-run business offering top-notch firebreak services across most suburbs in The City of Armadale, covering these areas: Armadale, Brookdale, Camillo, Champion Lakes, Forrestdale, Harrisdale, Haynes, Hilbert, Kelmscott, Piara Waters, Seville Grove and Wungong.
We use the latest gear and know-how to build firebreaks that meet all local rules.
We're big on customer service, so you can count on us to be on time and tailor a plan that works just for you. Get in touch for a quote and sort your firebreaks out early!
We've summarised the Armadale council's fire safety requirements to help you make sure your property ticks all the boxes the first time around. These guidelines are current as of September 2024, but rules can change, so it's a good idea to check the council's website for the most up-to-date info. We'd love to work with you to ensure you stay safe and compliant!
Fire Breaks
Create a 3m wide dirt path all around the inside of your property's boundary and buildings with a 4m verticle clearance. Make sure there are no dead ends.
Maintained, reticulated living lawns that are kept completely green are permitted in conjunction with or in place of a fire break.
Grass Control
Keep all flammable matter including grass and weeds trimmed to under 5cm. Get rid of the clippings.
Armadale Council requires you to complete firebreaks and fire-prevention works by November 30th and keep it that way until March 31st every year.
We service several suburbs in the Armadale council including these areas: Armadale, Brookdale, Camillo, Champion Lakes, Forrestdale, Harrisdale, Haynes, Hilbert, Kelmscott, Piara Waters, Seville Grove and Wungong.
At Cutting Round Corners we aim to offer competitive pricing while ensuring the highest quality and value for our clients.
The preparation of firebreaks can differ from property to property. Factors that may affect the total cost depend on the type of equipment we use, the complexities of the firebreak service required, the location, and the property size.
All properties have unique features and some Shire regulations differ, therefore we invite you to request a personalised quote based on your specific requirements by clicking here.
Once the initial scope of work and maintenance are completed, regular maintenance becomes easier to manage, resulting in reduced costs for our clients over time.
